You know you get older if - out of a whim - you try to buy DVDs of no-longer-shown teen series you adored once upon a time ;) You are no longer a teen, able and ready to spend good money for a trip to your past... Until you stumble over corporate stupidity.
The Entertainment Industry just seems uninterested in my money! Over-Priced DVDs forcing you to "experience" all sort of unnecessary intros, warnings etc. are commonly part of its twisted logic... But enough is enough! I state the unnegotiable requirements before I buy any series again:
The Entertainment Industry just seems uninterested in my money! Over-Priced DVDs forcing you to "experience" all sort of unnecessary intros, warnings etc. are commonly part of its twisted logic... But enough is enough! I state the unnegotiable requirements before I buy any series again:
- The DVD, BR, other physical medium or download MUST NOT force anything on me as a paying viewer - be it warnings, intros, whatever menus or subtitles.
- If either video or audio of said DVD, BR, other physical medium or download deviate however subtly from the "original", those deviations MUST be labeled/communicated clearly BEFORE purchase (BTW: I won't buy - exempt really rare circumstances; and - no - I don't care how you clear the rights if you showed serious idiocy already while securing those)
- Said DVD, BR, pother physical medium or download MUST be playable on my devices, which include computers and mobile devices. I MUST be able to get to the video stream and transcode it for said mobile devices.
